FAQ

Does it hurt?

I use two types of anesthetic to reduce the discomfort associated with permanent cosmetics. I've never had a client feel that the pain is too much to bear; in fact, I usually hear quite the opposite. It's not unusual for a client to tell me that she was surprised by how pleasant the overall experience was.
How long is the healing process?

The healing process is different for everyone, though it typically takes 3-4 weeks for someone to feel completely healed. Don't let that worry you, however; makeup can be worn after 10 days, and there is generally very little swelling, even immediately after the procedure is complete.
How long does it last for?

The length of time depends on the procedure that you've had done, and a number of factors including how often you spend in the direct sunlight, how well you manage your skin care routine, etc...

Do Permanent Cosmetics Look Natural?

Permanent cosmetics can look very natural, and in fact, it's my preferred way to apply them. My personal philosophy is that permanent cosmetics should enhance a person's natural beauty, not take it over. If you are seeking a natural yet enhanced appearance, look for a practitioner that has a light touch and good communication skills.
Who is permanent makeup for?

Permanent makeup can benefit so many individuals, including:

  • People looking to streamline their morning routine
  • Athletes or active individuals who want to look put together "on the field."
  • People who have difficulty applying makeup for medical reasons
  • Those who have burns, scars, vitiligo, alopecia or other such qualities or conditions
  • Women and/or men who simply don't want to apply makeup everyday
  • People with allergies to conventional cosmetics, or a desire to live cruelty free

Is permanent makeup expensive?

There are several factors to consider when thinking of getting permanent cosmetics. For many women, the elimination of everyday products saves quite a bit of money, making permanent cosmetics an economical option.

Every practitioner is different in how much they charge, and why. In looking for a practitioner, I recommend viewing portfolios and reviews, rather than looking at cost, to ensure that you find a true professional.
